Just popped in to the Walkabout Creek Hotel for a coldie!
The building facade and verandah were used in the first Crocodile Dundee movie. Other scenes were also shot in and around McKinlay. The original bar from the movie set, and props, are out the back of the Hotel and Frank Wust, the owner was kind enough to take me out back for a photo.
Even better, I got to sit in the International truck, also used in the movie, which sits out the front! Nice little nostalgic stopover at McKinley, on the Landsborough Highway, between Cloncurry and Winton.
